This is a new series of work that has gradually evolved over time. The shallow vessel form is a favourite because it can become a canvas or frame for the elements it contains. It is also beautiful in its own right and technically demanding to make because it is wide and flat.

The carefully placed ‘fruits’ are a culmination of so many themes and strands in life.

The Fruits shown here, individually and in small groups, celebrate the fact that each one is unique and can be enjoyed as a creation in its own right. No two are the same and the possibilities are endless. They are a joy to create and are ‘the fruits of my labour’.
